developing this morning, former u-s attorney general "janet reno" has died ... >>russell: developing right now, former attorney general janet reno has died. we look back at her powerful and controversial career. >>laura: and we're nearing the finish line. florida has already set early voting records. now the candidates are making one last pus state. >>russell: and an earthquake in oklahoma rattles one of the world's key oil hubs. a look at the damage from overnight. >>dave: a really nice start to the day. it's mild. everybody in the 60s this morning in central florida so we're going to start with a temperature about 66, 67 degrees in the tampa area. a couple of degrees cooler towards the north. the sun is going to be up this hour. that's right. turn the clock back at the earlier sunrise.

temperatures like yesterday and the day before that, we'll get right back up to the mid 80s. van's? >>vanessa: and on the roads, no big complaint still. we're clear on the roads. we have one notable construction closure to mention. it's not a full blockage so that's good news and it's along the veterans expressway. southbound direction, you see a speed marker at waters. in the area of waters, two left caution in the area but you can see no big delays to be expected hitting this way. >>laura: janet reno, first woman to serve as u.s. attorney general and figure at the center of several political fire storms during the clinton administration has died. >>russell: this morning, her goddaughter broke the news saying she suffered from complications from parkinson's disease. janet reno went to harvard law school, became a prominent prosecutor before rising to

she served nearly eight years. reno figured into some of the administration's biggest scandals. one is the deadly raid on the complex in waco, texas. in 2000, she enraged her home town when she authorized the armed seizure of 5-year-old elian after leaving washington, janet reno returned to florida. she made an unsuccessful run for governor in 2002. she was 78 years old. >>laura: developing in manatee county, an 18-year-old woman is shot and killed and now deputies are working to track down her killer. >>russell: shayla reaves is live in bradenton with the latest on the investigation. >>reporter: good morning to you. certainly a difficult morning for the family of 18-year-old

just a short moments ago, i was able to make contact with her parents. her parents sent me a text message saying they want people to know the loving, caring, press good mariah home goode was all of her life. she try to make sense of the events unfolding sunday afternoon. take a look at the area on your screen. this is the 3300 block of fourth street according to the manatee county sheriff's office, around 4:30 in the afternoon, they received a call about a possible shooting in the area seen there on your screen. we're told while deputies were making their way to that location, bradenton police alerted deputies the victim, mariah goode, had already arrived at manatee memorial hospital for treatment of gunshot injuries.

the hospital for treatment and ultimately 18-year-old mariah did not survive her injuries. deputies are saying at this point that this particular case is not believed to be random. investigators do not believe this is a random shooting but they're asking anyone with any information in the case to please come forward and share the details with a manatee county sheriff's office. of course, you can also report information anonymously by reaching to it's unclear at this point what mariah's connection to that fourth street location might actually be. there's still a lot of questions out there and we will certainly work to piece this together and ask questions as we make our way into the daylight hours. >>laura: a father and two children were killed in a fiery crash after their car fell over an overpass.

injuries. crash happened early yesterday morning near state road 60. troopers say that ronald greene lost control of his car and struck a guardrail before falling onto the road below. the children were also killed. the florida highway patrol is still investigating but troopers believe that alcohol was a factor. >>russell: police investigating a murder. a man was found dead inside of one of the apartments. investigators say the shooter made it all the way to the crime. detectives have not released names but say the victim and shooter are somehow related. >>laura: it is the calm before the storm. tomorrow is election day and the polls will open in just under 25 hours. >>russell: more than 41 million americans cast their ballots and we're seeing record turnout across country. rough of half of florida's

most counties but it continued through yesterday in 16 of the state's biggest counties. >>laura: hillsborough county right now, 176,000 people voted by mail. 242,000 people voted early. and that adds up to 49% of registered voters in the county. as of last night, polk county supervisor of elections office received more than 168,000 ballots by mail or through in personal early voting accounting for there is and then taking a look at numbers in pinellas county, more than 300,000 people cast their ballots early. that's 48% of the county's registered voters. >>russell: in a last minute twist, the f.b.i. correct -- director said he's standing next to his position not charging

>>russell: 6:15. there's a concern an earthquake in central of the world's key oil hubs. the quake measured 5.0, hit near the city of cushing. the pipeline's safety department is headed there to assess the damage to the pipeline. there have been several smaller quakes around the area recently. scientists have led it to fracking and the underground disposable of waste water from oil and gas production. >>laura: governor scott will be on the east coast today as the

it is gorgeous this morning. we have a few clouds streaming through looking down kennedy toward the downtown area of tampa. pretty, also mild, too. we're at 67 out at the airport. we're 63, new tampa, plant city, brandon. i have upper 60s pinellas park, clearwater, saint pete pete, back to lower 60s further north. dade city, inverness, the only spot on the hourlies now and i'm sure that maybe in little dips and thermometer says 50. 69 degrees in sarasota and inland i got low to mid 60s polk, hardee, de soto, highlands county. great start. dew point numbers measuring that surface moisture. once that front came through late friday into early saturday, it dropped them back in the 50s. that's where they are this morning. as long as they can sit here in the upper 50s or even the lower

combine that with about an 83, 84-degree afternoon and while technically that's seasonably warm, several degrees above normal, it will be just as beautiful as it was yesterday in general. high pressure is up here providing us that northeast wind. there's a trough which is basically an elongated area of pressure. not concentrated in one spot. that will be in the middle of the gulf by wednesday. it may come close enough to bring us 20% rain chance but to be honest, that's about it. the rain is more than likely going to stay out back toward the west. so other than that little blip, we're looking good the next several days. the sunrise is at 6:46 rather than 7:46. highs around 84 degrees. mostly clear, mild tonight with a low of 64 degrees. back to clouds and sunshine and all kinds of loveliness again

st. pete side. >>russell: south carolina man accused of holding a woman inside a storage container was denied bond after he confessed to four more murders. he shot and killed the owner service manager, mechanic and bookkeeper at a motorcycle shop 13 years ago. also led detectives to two more bodies on his property. he is a suspect in at least three other deaths. they're not limiting their investigation to south carolina, either. >>laura: final selection starts today in the trial of dylan rooff. he's accused of killing four people at a church in south carolina. 3,000 people received jury summons. trial is not expected to start until january. rooff faces 33 federal charges. >>russell: one week after a massive explosion in alabama, colonial pipeline has reopened. it transports gas from the gulf coast to new york city.

morning, the death of former u.s. attorney general janet reno. her goddaughter released a statement saying she died this morning, complications from parkinson's. she was the first woman to hold attorney general. she faced early criticism for the deadly raid on the branch dividian compound in waco. she later called it the worst day of her life. she was 78 years old. >>laura: this is a picture at the trumpal fairgrounds. you can see the line of camera, media as far as the eye can see. this is the last day before the election and every move the candidates make will be captured by these cameras. and it's not just the media waiting for trump. people have been lined up outside the arena for hours. >>russell: trump is not even expected to speak until 11:00 but our ken is there right now on this hectic final day of campaigning.

sarasota, low to mid 6 # 0s in the polk county area, all the way to the highlands county. sebring is at 63 degrees and with that onshore wind flow, northeast wind, that will continue to keep the east coast warm this morning from 72 out at the cape to as warm as 77 in stewart. high pressure up to the northeast, you just continue to bound in the northeast wind which, as it moves across the state, is a warming wind. inclimate weather in texas and moving into parts of louisiana. but the thing is, as it tries to move our way, it doesn't look like it's going to happen so we get another couple of breezy, warm afternoon days. watch this front try and try and try to make its way down to the south and the east so really, all the rain with this trough just kind of sits out here in the middle of the gulf. now, initially it looked like it was going to be a little closer.
